What the street children say
Like all children and perhaps especially so, children living on the streets need to be listened to.
Article 7 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child says: "Every child has the right to express his/her own views freely in all matters affecting them."
Here are some of the things street children told us recently:

What the children in our homes say
"This last year my life has changed, because before I was sad and lonely. My hopes for the next year are to study hard and pass my exams. When I get older I would like to be a fireman or a pastor." Cristian, 11
"Toybox has helped me by teaching me good things, guiding me in the ways of God and giving me clothes, food, a place to live and an education. My hope for the future is to be an expert in the law and a good football player." Erick, 9
